Step 1: Focal Point
Stamp the main image from the Sunshine on My Mind stamp set in Misty Coast ink using a stamping platform onto Hammermill white cardstock.
Make sure to keep the stamp in place so that you can re-stamp the image in black ink at the end.
Create two of these flower image panels in Misty Coast ink.
Ink blend the first Sunshine on My Mind panel using the Sunshine on My Mind stencils with the following colors: for the pink flowers- Sparkling Rose for the first flower layer, Bubble Gum for the second flower layer, and Raspberry Bliss for the flower centers.
For the leaves: Mermaid Cove for the first layer of the leaves and Tidal Pond for the second layer.
For the yellow flowers- Sunshine for the first layer, Sweet Mustard for the second layer, and Marigold for the flower centers.
For the leaves: Grassy Knoll for the first layer and Key Lime for the second layer.
Place the ink blended panels one at a time back into the stamping platform with the Sunshine on My Mind stamp in place and stamp with black ink.
Stamp the main image from the Butterflies in Bloom stamp set in Misty Coast on Hammermill white cardstock.
Ink blend using the Butterflies in Bloom stencils.
For the butterflies: Pink Butterfly: top wing Sparkling Rose and bottom wing Bubble Gum. Yellow Butterfly: top wing: Sunshine and bottom wing Sweet Mustard.
Place the ink blended panel back into the stamping platform and stamp with black ink.
Using a die cutting machine, die cut all the images- the two Sunshine on My Mind panels with the corresponding Sunshine on My Mind dies and the one Butterflies in Bloom panel with the corresponding Butterflies in Bloom dies.
Die cut one set of blanks from white cardstock of the Butterflies in Bloom and four blanks of the Sunshine on My Mind.
Attach one set of blanks to flowers and the butterflies. For the big pink flower, attach two blanks using liquid glue.
Step 2: Home Panel and Background Panel
From Holographic Foil cardstock, cut the large frame using the Blanket Stitched Rectangles Dies.
From white cardstock, die cut the lace from the Heritage Lace Die Cuts twice.
I used the fourth one down.
Attach the lace to the frame with liquid glue.
Create the background by die cutting the Intricate Stitched Ovals Coverplate Die from white cardstock.
Step 3: Sentiment
Cut an A2 sized panel from vellum.
Heat up your hot foil machine.
Using the "hello" press plate from the Basic Sentiments press plate set, foil "hello" onto the vellum using gold foil.
Use gold foil.
Tip: I needed to use 2 cardstock shims to get a good foiled impression onto the vellum.
Attach the vellum piece to the frame with the lace with double sided adhesive.
Attach the prepared Intricate Stitched Oval panel to the back of the vellum with double sided adhesive.
Step 4: Card Base
Create a top folding A2 card base by cutting an 8.5 x 11 piece of heavy weight white cardstock in half lengthwise at 5 1/2 inches with a paper trimmer.
Using a scoring board, score at 5 1/2 to create the top fold.
Score the front panel of the card base again at 2 3/4 to create the easel.
Using a bone folder, fold the flap forward.
Step 5: Inside Panel
Using a stamping platform, stamp the sentiments "It's a big day" and "It's your birthday" from the Basic Sentiments Stamp Set onto the inside back of the card base.
Attach two blanks to the back of the big pink flower you created earlier.
Using liquid glue, attach the flower so that the front panel of the card can rest on it when it is open.
Attach the prepared main panel to the card base with liquid glue. Make sure to only put the liquid glue on the front bottom flap of the card base.
Attach the flowers with liquid glue and butterflies with small foam squares to the main panel.
