Bold Blooms Acetate Card Using Partial Die Cutting
Steps to re-create this card:
Step 1: Create the card base by cutting a piece of white cardstock that measures 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. Score the cardstock at 1/4 inches to create a flap. Cut an A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) sized panel from the acetate. Using liquid adhesive, attach the acetate to the white cardstock panel flap creating a card that has a white cardstock back panel and an acetate front panel.
Step 2: Create the focal image by stamping the Magnificent Magnolia stamp with VersaMark Watermark ink onto the white cardstock with a stamping platform treating the cardstock first with anti-static powder. Sprinkle the ink with rose gold embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool.
Step 3: Ink blend the image. Stencil 1: Raspberry Bliss. Stencil 2: Bubble Gum. Stencil 3: Sparkling Rose. Using a die cutting machine and the coordinating dies, die cut the ink-blended image.
Step 4: Create the home panel. Cut an A2 sized panel from the Deep Navy Glitter cardstock. Using a die cutting machine, partial die cut the panel with the Magnificent Magnolia die so that only the right side of the panel is die cut. Position the die at least a 1/4 of an inch away from the right side of the panel. Create a 1/4 inch wide strip that is 5 1/2 inches tall from Champagne Glitter cardstock. Create white blanks of the partial die cutting piece and the 1/4 wide strip as well.
Step 5: Assembly. Attach the main focal point flower image to the navy glitter partial die cut panel with liquid adhesive. Wrap the rose gold thread around the left side of the navy glitter cardstock a few times and tie in a bow on the front. Using liquid adhesive, attach the main element of flower and navy glitter cardstock to the front of the card. Attach the 1/4 wide Champagne Glitter cardstock strip to the right edge. On the inside front panel, attach the white blanks of the glitter cardstock/flower piece and the 1/4 inch wide strip to the hide the adhesive, so that when you open the card you just see white pieces on the front inside cover.
Step 6: Sentiment and Embellishments: Prepare a small piece of white cardstock with anti-static powder, stamping the Sending Love sentiment with Detail Black ink and sprinkle with clear embossing powder. Remove the excess powder and heat set with a heat tool. Using the coordinating die and a die cutting machine to cut out the sentiment. Cut 2 blanks of the sentiment from white cardstock. Using liquid adhesive, attach the sentiment to the 2 blanks. Using liquid glue, attach the sentiment to the main image on the card. Embellish with some Ombre Glitter Drops in Twilight. Attach these with liquid glue, because the liquid glue drops are so small and dry almost clear, do not worry about hiding them on the inside of the card.
