Spinner Cards

I've been making Valentine's Day cards for my nieces, and I have wanted the cards to be really fun.

Something that you couldn't just buy in a store.

Something that moves.

For these cards, I was inspired by a few YouTube videos.

Altenew has some great videos about unique card designs to try:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SFM0JmNQ18&t=788sOnce I chose a spinner card, I found this video by Jennifer McGuire: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNQpeIPtwaA&t=644sI wanted more space to write than just the heart on the inside, so I went looking for more ideas and found this video by Jennifer McGuire that shows you how to make hinged cards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MmyIZP06eA&t=1248sAnd that's how we arrived at the designs you see below! I hope you feel inspired to try something similar yourself. To make these cards, you need some thread. I used DMC metallic thread. Glue the thread between two die cuts that are the same. On the Z fold card, the string is glued on the back of the front fold. On the regular card, the string is glued to the center of the card but the top embossed layer hides it.For the hinged cards, you need a small piece of lightweight acetate. 3 inches by a 0.25 inches Score the acetate in half at 1 and 1/2 inches. You need three die cuts of the same thing to create the hinged card.
