Pinkfresh Studio February Challenge 2026 Celebrate

Steps to re-create this card:

Focal Point:

1. Prepare an A2 sized panel of white Hammermill cardstock with anti-static powder and place in a stamping platform. Stamp the Butterflies in Bloom stamp onto the cardstock with Versamark Watermark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and set with a heat tool.

Tip: Listen to Carissa Wiley and heat the embossing powder from the back. It really makes a difference.

2. Using the Butterflies in Bloom stencils, color in the embossed image: stencil 1: Sunkissed; stencil 2: Mango Sorbet; stencil 3: Citron, and stencil 4: Tidal Pond. Die cut the images and two additional blanks using the coordinating dies.

3. Glue the ink-blended image to the two blanks.

Home Panel:

1. Cut a panel that is slightly longer than A2 from Brushed Rose Metallic Cardstock. The panel should be the usual height, but cut longer for the width- add an extra 1/2 in. to be safe. Using the triangle edger from the Classic Edgers set, create the border on one edge.

Tip: If you are like me and your cutting plates are very well used, set up the cardstock like you are partial die cutting so that only the part with the die attached goes under the plates when it goes through the machine. I noticed if I set it up as usual on the plates, the cardstock was getting ghost impressions from the cutting plates on it.

We cut the cardstock a little longer than needed so that the edger can go all the way to the edge. We will cut off the extra in a later step.

2. Cut the Ornate Circle die from Ivory Glitter cardstock.

Tip: This die is very intricate. I have found that it helps to include a cardstock shim in my cutting sandwich for the Platinum 6 to make sure all the small pieces are completely cut out.

3. Attach the Ivory Glitter Ornate Circle to the Brushed Rose Metallic cardstock with liquid glue.

4. Attach the focal point Butterflies in Bloom flowers to the Ivory Glitter cardstock Ornate Circle and Brushed Rose Metallic home panel with liquid glue.

Background Panel:

1. Cut an A2 sized panel from mint green cardstock.

2. Using the Glimmer Hot Foil system, hot foil the Abstract Triangles hot foil plate onto the mint green cardstock with Pastel Green foil.

3. Attached the background panel to an A2 side-folding white card base.

4. Attach the home panel to the background panel with a 1mm double sided adhesive foam sheet. Cut the foam sheet so that it is the same shape as the home panel, just slightly smaller on the triangle side so that it doesn't show through the tiny holes. Line the Brushed Rose Metallic cardstock up with the background panel before attaching and cut off any extra rose cardstock with a paper trimmer.

Sentiment:

1. Prepare a small piece of white cardstock with anti-static powder.

2. Place the prepared cardstock in a stamping platform and ink up with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

3. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and set with a heat tool.

4. Die cut the sentiment and two additional blanks with the coordinating die.

5. Glue the stamped sentiment to the two blanks.

6. Attach the sentiment to the card with four small foam squares.

Embellishments:

1. Embellish with some Iridescent Dew Drops.
