Just For You

Steps to re-create this card:

Card Base:

1. Cut a card base measuring 8 1/2 inch x 5 1/2 inch from heavy white cardstock. Score at 2 1/8 inch and again at 4 1/4 inch to create the Z fold for the front of the card.

2. Cut an A2 size panel from Hammermill 100 lb white cardstock. Ink blend the panel on a grip mat using Sparkling Rose ink. Attach the panel to the inside back of the card base with liquid adhesive.

3. Cut a panel measuring 2 1/8 inch by 5 1/2 inch of Bright Pink cardstock. Dry emboss the panel using the Hearts and Stars Coverplate die. Attach the panel to front Z panel with liquid adhesive.

4. Create the pop up piece from heavy white cardstock. The piece measures 5 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Score the piece at 3/4 inch, 2 3/4 inch, and 3 1/2 inch. Fold so that it creates a box. With liquid adhesive, attach the big side of the box to the back card panel. The side of the box that goes down has nothing on the left and the little side on the right facing up towards you. With liquid adhesive, attach the little left side of the box to the inside Z panel. The pop up piece should flatten completely when you close the card.

Inside Panel:

1. Using the fourth largest rectangle from Nested Rectangles Dies, cut a rectangle from bright pink cardstock.

2. Using the third largest rectangle from the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge dies, cut a rectangle from white cardstock.

3. Using a stamping platform, position the sentiment "You are cooler than gelato" in the center of the rectangle and stamp with Onyx Black ink.

4. Cut the two hearts from bright pink cardstock and medium pink cardstock using the small and large heart die from the Shaker Tag Book Die set.

5. Adhere the hearts to the postage edge panel with liquid adhesive. Adhere the postage edge panel to the bright pink rectangle with liquid adhesive. Place liquid adhesive on the large part of the pop up piece that is attached to the card base and adhere the bright pink rectangle, ensuring that it is flush with the inside Z panel and centered on the pink back panel, but not glued at all to the pink back panel.

Focal Point:

1. Cut an A2 panel from white Hammermill cardstock. Stamp the Gelato on the Go image on the cardstock using Onyx Black ink. Stamp two or three times to get a good impression. Cover in clear embossing powder and set with a heat tool.

2. Using a grip mat and the coordinating stencils, ink blend the stamped image. Stencil 1: Sparkling Rose; Stencil 2: Sky Blue; Stencil 3: Lemon Whip; Stencil 4: Sunkissed

3. Cut out the ink-blended image and two blanks from white cardstock using the coordinating die. Glue the blanks to the back of the bunny/cart image and to the ice cream image for dimension and stability.

4. Attach the charm spinner to the top right of the ice cream cone with liquid glue. The small side of the spinner is glued to the ice cream. I glued it here so that the ice cream cone would hang diagonally with attached to the cart. Wait a few minutes for the glue to adhere the spinner to the ice cream cone.

5. Attach the back of the charm spinner to the ice cream cart on the border between the first pink and the first white stripe using liquid adhesive.

Home Panel:

1. Using the second large die from the Nested Rectangles Postage Edge Dies, cut a rectangle from white cardstock.

2. Using the same die, cut a rectangle from Ivory Glitter Cardstock.

3. Using the second longest straight die from the Slide & Spin Die Set, place the die in the center of the glitter cardstock 2 inches above measuring from the bottom of the rectangle. Run through a die cutting platform. Place the die cut piece back into the glitter cardstock. Line the glitter cardstock up completely with the white cardstock piece behind. Use mint tape to temporarily hold them together. Take out the die cut piece and cover the back with liquid adhesive. Glue the piece down in the hole that is created in the glitter cardstock. Remove the glitter cardstock. The die piece of glitter cardstock should be now adhered to the white panel in the spot that matches where it was cut from the glitter cardstock. This adhering of the glitter piece to the white base is optional, it will just hide the track that the bunny is going to slide on better.

4. Stamp the "Just for You" stamp on white cardstock with Onyx Black ink in a stamping platform. Cover with clear embossing powder and set with a heat tool. Die cut with the coordinating die and cut two blanks from white cardstock for dimension. Attach the blanks to the back of the sentiment with liquid adhesive.

5. Cut the hearts from bright pink and medium pink cardstock using the hearts from the Shaker Tag Book Die set.

Assembly:

1. Take the two postage edge rectangles and line them up so they match exactly. Cut four small squares from the foam tape. Attach the two postage edge rectangles together, putting a square of foam tape in each of the four corners.

2. Slide the backs of the Snap 'N Slides into the track. You will need two. The back is the part with the hole in the back.

3. Using liquid adhesive, adhere the front side of one of the Snap 'N Slides to the back of the bunny, right about where the shirt is on the front. The front of the Snap 'N Slide is the flat slide with the pointy part on the back. Snap the front of the Snap 'N Slide into the back of the Snap 'N Slide so that the bunny is now partly attached to the track. You may have to adjust the Snap 'N Slide just a bit until it slides well.

4. Attach the second Snap 'N Slide front to the ice cream cart directly below the umbrella in line with the one you placed on the bunny. Snap into place, and adjust so that they bunny now slides on the track back and forth and the ice cream wiggles around.

5. Attach the "Just for You" sentiment and the die cut hearts to the glitter postage edge panel with double sided adhesive. Place the hearts so that they are hidden by the umbrella until the bunny moves. Position the sentiment above the cart and to the right of the umbrella.
