Pinkfresh Studio January Challenge 2026 Sweets & Hugs
Today's card was inspired by a technique by Jennifer McGuire from her Live from January 9, 2026 on YouTube.
Steps to recreate this card:
1. Ink blend the Sweet Scoops image onto white cardstock using the Sweet Scoops Stencil using Doe, Bubble Gum, Mango Sorbet, Paradise, Sunshine, Sapphire, Raspberry Bliss, and Opulence. Then cut out the image with the coordinating die. Cut two extra shapes from white cardstock and glue to the ink blended image.
2. Cut the heart from bright pink cardstock using the larger heart from Essentials Shaker Hearts dies.
3. Die cut the background from white cardstock using the Scalloped Grid Coverplate die and ink blend with Waterfall ink.
4. Cut the card base from white cardstock. The cardstock measurements are 5 1/2 inches for the height and 10 1/2 inches for the width. Score the card base at 2 1/8 inches and flip around and score at 4 inches. Create the hinge by cutting a 1 1/2 inch square from white cardstock and fold it in half.
5. Cut two panels from Ivory Glitter cardstock by cutting a piece 5 1/2 inches high and the scoring it at 2 1/8 inches and then flipping it and scoring at 4 inches. Cut along scored lines.
6. Cut the Scalloped Grid to fit the Ivory Glitter cardstock pieces and then glue together. Glue the two front panels to the front of the card.
7. Cut the small hearts from two different colors of pink cardstock using the Shaker Tag Book dies set.
8. Place the card in a stamping platform and stamp the sentiment from the Ice Cream Truck Stamp on the right inside fold using black ink. Attach the small hearts.
9. Attach the hinge square to the middle of the left side front side with the folded side on the right. Attach the bright pink heart to the other side of the hinge. Attach the Sweet Scoops image to the bright pink heart.
10. Create the sentiment using the Patisserie Pals Stamp Set and coordinating die with black ink. Use clear embossing powder over the top of the stamped sentiment and set with a heat tool. Create one extra die cut of the sentiment from white cardstock and glue to the back of the embossed sentiment. Attach the sentiment to the ice cream scoops and heart using glue and foam tape.
Finished!
I hope you make your own version of this card. The layout was so fun to make!
