Pinkfresh Studio September Challenge 2025 Thanks for Being There
Tone-on-Tone/Monochrome Magic
Challenge Inspiration Colors: Atlantis, Tidal Pond, Olive, Sheer Freesia, and Regal Kiss
Steps to recreate this card:
1. Blend Sheer Freesia on an A2 Porcelain Better Press Cotton Card Panel
2. Ink up the Petal Grid Press Plate with Opulence ink and secure the Sheer Freesia panel to the Platen with repositionable tape with the inked side up. Connect the Platen to the Chase and run through a die cutting machine.
3. Ink Blend Wisteria onto an A2 card panel of white Hammermill Cardstock. Attach the panel to the Intricate Stitched Ovals Coverplate Die and die cut using a die cutting machine. Take that panel and attach the largest hexagon from the Essentials Nested Hexagons Blanket Stitched Die to the card panel and run through a die cutting machine.
4. Cut the leaves using the Fall Leaf Die on the Brushed Gold Cardstock using a die cutting machine.
5. Apply anti-static powder to a half sheet of white Hammermill Cardstock. Using a stamping platform, stamp the Magnificent Magnolias stamp onto the white cardstock with Versamark Watermark Ink. Fold a piece of scrap paper in half, place the cardstock with the stamped image onto the scrap paper. Pour the WOW Gold Pearl Embossing Powder generously over the whole stamped image. Tap the cardstock gently to release any extra embossing powder. Using a heat tool, set the embossing powder. Pour extra embossing powder back into the container.
6. Ink blend the Magnificent Magnolias using the coordinating stencils: stencil 1 Paradise ink, stencil 2 Atlantis ink, and stencil 3 Sheer Freesia ink. Cut out the stamped image with the Magnificent Magnolias die.
7. Apply anti-static powder to a small piece of white Hammermill Cardstock. Use the Thanks For Being There sentiment from the Thanks for Being There Stamp Set and ink it up with Detail Black. Use a stamp positioner so that you can stamp the black ink multiple times to get a nice, crisp result. Place the sentiment on a scrap piece of paper and generously pour WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine Embossing Powder over the sentiment. Set the powder with a heat tool. Die cut two blanks of the sentiment from white cardstock. Using liquid glue, attach the blanks to the completed sentiment.
8. Assemble the layers using liquid glue and double sided tape onto an A2 card base: first the cotton panel, next the hexagon, next the gold leaves, next the Magnificent Magnolia image, and lastly the sentiment.
9. Using liquid glue, attach a few Sparkling Champagne Metallic Pearls and tie a bow around a leaf stem with the DMC thread.
